Vehicle Warranty Insurance

AutoChip Assistance s.r.o., in cooperation with DEFEND INSURANCE s.r.o. and Fortegra Europe insurance company, has prepared factory warranty insurance for you called DEFEND Car Protect, which replaces the factory warranty on the engine, gearbox or differential if it is limited or cancelled due to the detection of chiptuning.

Who is this insurance suitable for?

For all customers whose vehicles are still under warranty.

What is the insurance for in practice?

If your vehicle is under warranty and chiptuning is detected during a warranty claim on the vehicle (engine, gearbox or differential) and the warranty is cancelled, the repair will be covered by this insurance.

What does the insurance cover?

The subject of the insurance is sudden and unforeseeable internal mechanical and electrical failures of insured motor vehicles that result in sudden loss of function and require repair or replacement to restore operation, and which:

1. were rejected by the manufacturer as not covered by the original manufacturer's warranty due to chiptuning having been carried out, which results in the vehicle being excluded from coverage.
2. would otherwise, if chiptuning had not been carried out, be covered by the original manufacturer's warranty.
3. did not arise as a result of events excluded under the General Insurance Terms and Conditions.
4. were caused by failure of a component included in the following list:
   Engine: All internal lubricated components including injectors, intake manifold, flywheel, ring gear, turbo unit, engine electronic control unit, oil cooler, water pump.
   Gearbox: Manual, automatic or continuously variable transmission (CTX): All internal lubricated components, control units, mechatronics.
   Differential: All internal lubricated components.

For the special vehicles listed below, double rates apply, e.g. 2 years / 100,000 CZK coverage limit - 4,900 CZK.
Vehicles: Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, Bugatti, Porsche (except Cayenne, Panamera and Macan), Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Jaguar (except F-Pace Pure, XE Pure, XF Pure, XJ Pure), Lamborghini, etc.

When does the insurance start and end?

The insurance comes into effect upon conclusion of the contract (only together with the modification; it cannot be arranged retrospectively), but not earlier than payment of the insurance premium.

For all motor vehicles covered by this insurance, the insurance ends:

• on the day the vehicle odometer reaches a total of 150,000 km.
• on the day the original manufacturer's warranty expires (either when the warranty period ends or the mileage limit is reached).
• when the insurance term set for the specific motor vehicle expires.
