EGR valve disable
The EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation) is designed to reduce emissions, but in practice it often causes intake contamination, power fluctuations or a higher failure rate. By disabling the EGR, the engine runs cleaner, throttle response improves and the risk of carbon buildup is reduced.
Disabling the EGR may lead to faster DPF clogging and increased emissions.
MAF sensor disable
The MAF sensor (mass air flow meter) is used to precisely measure the amount of intake air for correct fuel dosing. Disabling it is typically used as an emergency solution in cases of wiring issues, a faulty sensor or heavily modified vehicles (for example with a hybrid turbo) where airflow exceeds the measuring range of the sensor. Engine control is then recalibrated so it can operate stably even without this input.
Disabling the MAF sensor means less precise mixture control, which can affect fuel consumption, performance and emissions. This is a compromise solution and does not replace proper fault repair or correct component sizing.
